This one day workshop focuses on natural dyeing using a range of sustainable materials found in Loch Ness woodlands and kitchens. Suitable for all levels of experience from beginners to those familiar with yarn dyeing.
We start the day with some easy natural dyeing using locally sourced ingredients.
Followed by a visit to a local cafe for lunch.
In the afternoon, while our work is drying we will visit the local farm where the fleece comes from the learn more abou the origins of wool and the relationships between farming and dyeing.
Lunch is provided, please make the organiser aware of any special dietary requirements when booking.
Accomodation is NOT provided, please contact Visit Scotland for any assistance with finding accomodation. Workshop start time can be adjusted to allow for travel from Inverness and surrounding areas.
This course is run entirely outside no matter what the weather, so please dress appropriately for a Scottish summer and foraging in woodlands.
